NCL FASHION WEEK.
I have recently been introduced to Sandra Tang at college who came to discuss Newcastle fashion week with us. Newcastle fashion week will take place from May 26th – June 2nd.
Sandra is employed by a company called NE1, it is an independent company which aim to attract the public to Newcastle City Centre. Sandra has no qualifications in fashion but has a keen interest in the subject. She has had many jobs including involvement in managing music band Atomic Kitten and selling vintage clothing at Marks and Spencer. She plans to launch over 70 free events at this year’s show to attract people to Newcastle. These include; fashion T.V., catwalks, workshops, launch parties with celebrities. There will be 9 days of events this year which she aims to attract magazines such as Grazia, so even a reputable well known magazine would be proud to showcase the show.
Fashion Front Row, Newcastle’s most stylish, A fashion's day out, fashion T.V. (Tup Tup) and frock and roll and a three day fashion weekend event at the Metro Radio Arena involving the clothes show live.
